Police investigating NW armed robbery

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The U.S. Park Police is investigating an armed robbery in Northwest.

It happened on the Fort Totten footpath on Wednesday, December 4.

Police say two suspects ran up behind a female victim, pointed a handgun at her and demanded her purse and iPhone. The suspects fled on foot.

The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 5'7 to 5'8, approximately 18 to 20 years old, skinny but muscular, wearing black ski masks and dark clothing. One suspect was possibly wearing tan pants, officials said.

Police have released video still images from the night of the robbery that were taken in the area of the Brooklyn Metro Station. 

The people in the video still images were using the victim's SmarTrip Metro card.

Gas leak in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- We're told there is a natural gas leak in Northwest D.C.

It happened in the 1300 block of Park Road, NW.

D.C. Fire has requested police to close Park Road between 13th and 14th streets and Park Road and Holmead Place, NW.

Washington Gas and Pepco are responding.

Fire officials say they are evacuating some nearby residents and others are being asked to shelter-in-place.

Police seek DC armed robbery suspects

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police have released video in connection with an armed robbery and need your help locating multiple suspects.

It happened in the 4700 block of Central Ave, NE, on November 6.

Police released the following suspect descriptions:

Suspect 1: Black male, 16-17 years of age, 5'7" to 5'8" in height, 130 pounds, dark complexion, with short hair. He was last seen wearing black clothing and armed with a handgun.

Suspect 2: Black male, 16-17 years of age, 5'7" to 5'10" in height, medium complexion, with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing dark clothing.

Police do not have descriptions for two additional suspects at this time.

5 sprayed with mace outside DC school

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. Fire officials say five people were sprayed with mace outside a school on Monday.

It happened around noon in the 1300 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest. 

Officials say a large fight outside a D.C. school resulted in five people being sprayed with mace. One person was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition and the other are being treated at the scene.

The fight did not take place outside a D.C. Public School. Police say it appears that it happened outside Booker T. Washington Charter School.

DC police seeking 2 bank robbery suspects

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police need your help identifying two suspects in connection with a bank robbery in Northwest.

It happened Tuesday at the TD Bank, located at the 900 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NW.

At approximately 10:43 a.m., police say two suspects entered the bank, displayed a weapon and left with cash in an unknown direction.

Police released the following suspect descriptions:

Suspect One: 40-50 years of age, approximately 5'9" to 5'10" in height, and last seen wearing a black skull mask, a black down vest, and jeans.

Suspect Two: 40-50 years of age, and last seen wearing a black down jacket, light grey hood, with a black skull cap mask.
