Target supermarket suspended by D.C. health department | News
WASHINGTON, (WUSA9) -- The supermarket at the Target store on 14th Street NW in Columbia Heights is suspended by the D.C. health department.
According to the Health Department, the supermarket area of the store was closed due to "failing to minimize the presence of insects, rodents and other pests on the premises".
A spokesperson from Target said the rest of the store is open while the supermarket is being suspended. A statement from Target is below:
At Target, food safety and quality are a top priority. We take this issue very seriously and are working with officials to address any concerns as quickly as possible. The store will remain open while we work to resolve the matter.
